Look Who is Rocking and Rolling in Their Joovy Zoom!

New mom, actress Wynn Everett of HBO’s The Newsroom was recently seen strolling in Los Angeles with her new baby bundle, Asher!  What were mom and baby strolling in?  A Joovy Zoom 360 in red outfitted with the new infant car seat adapter!  Mom and baby looked amazing and clearly were enjoying the stroll!

Wynn raved about the Joovy Zoom, “Took a spin for the first time last night and as you can see, Asher LOVES HER JOOVY!!! It has such an easy push, I love how it takes all the millions of bumps in our sidewalks here in our Los Angeles neighborhood.  Our sidewalks are NOT easy and The Joovy maneuvers them like a champ. There’s tons of storage on this jogger and the infant car seat adapter allows us to take her out, even though she is still an infant.  LOVE that we will be  able to use the Zoom until she is a big girl!

Can’t wait to use my Joovy Groove when the time is right but I am LOVING the Zoom!”

In addition to The Newsroom, Wynn’s credits include Charlie Wilson’s War,  NCIS: Los Angeles, Hope and Faith, The Menatalist.

Potty Training On the Go

If there were one aspect of parenting I would outsource, potty training would win hands down.  It’s hard, it’s messy, and it can take a really long time.

Well, just because you’re potty training your child, doesn’t mean that life as you know it has to come to a stop.  Here are a few tips that have helped us train our kids while getting out and still having some fun (because let’s face it, you’re earning it).

  1. Know that your kids are going to have accidents.  Just because they have 3 accidents in one day doesn’t necessarily mean that they are not ready to be potty trained, it may just mean that they need more help.  Don’t give up.  Potty training is a process, so it’s helpful to think in terms of weeks (or months), not days!
  2. Treat pull-ups like underwear, not diapers.  Really, they will save your life and allow you to leave the house.  Don’t use them all the time, but for outings, they can’t be beat.
  3. Always carry a change of clothes.  And I mean always.  For boys, nylon windpants are our favorites and leggings are great for girls.  Honestly, it doesn’t take much more room than a diaper and you’ll be grateful you have them!
  4. Go easy on your kids.  Potty training is really hard for them.  Would you want to stop playing with your toys to go to the bathroom?  It’s hard for them to understand why they need to do it, so be patient.  Remember, you need to work with your toddler to make this happen.
  5. Don’t become homebound.  The first few days of potty training are helpful to stay home, but eventually you need to get out.  With some kids, this means showing them where the toilet is every time you go somewhere new.  Other kids need you to carry their little in the back of the car because it’s so hard for them to go in a new place (Mason).  Be brave and go play, even if you are working on potty training.  I can guarantee that both you and your child will appreciate the break!

Remember, even though potty training is really hard, it will eventually be over.    Hopefully, you’ll be able to look back at this phase and laugh (or at least not cry anymore).

Good Luck!

Joovy would like to add that we take potty training seriously and we invite you to check out our potty, the Joovy Loo.

Caboose Too with Infant Car Seat Use

Yes, a child can ride in the rear seat when you are using an infant car seat in the front seat.  See the pictures below.  This is best when you have two children who are very close in age and may be too young to use the bench seat.

Caboose Too Seat adds Extra Seat!

What could be better than the Caboose and Caboose Ultralight?  How about an extra full size seat?  That’s right, now the Caboose and Caboose Ultralight can accommodate an extra full size seat with the addition of our Caboose Too Seat.

This accessory converts your tandem Caboose to a full double stroller in minutes!  The Caboose Too seat installs easily onto the existing rear platform and stroller frame.  It reclines and includes a 5-point harness, just like the front seat.  The Caboose Too is a perfect solution for families looking for a compact double stroller and for those with children close in age.  The Caboose Too seat offers additional support and comfort for children still too young to use the bench seat and the standing platform of the Caboose. This configuration offers the flexibility to use the seat until the older child reaches the point where they want to sit or stand on the back of the Caboose – when ‘independence’ kicks in and they are big enough to do so.

With the addition of the Caboose Too Seat, your Caboose transforms to a double stroller with two full size seats!  The Caboose and Caboose Ultralight still have the capacity of 45 pounds per seat (90 pounds total for the stroller.)

Available in Orangie, Greenie, Blueberry and Black.
