Spring is here! Are you opening doors and airing out? This blog post will hopefully give some pointers on how to approach spring cleaning, or cleaning any other time of the year with toddlers in tow.
Okay Mamas (and Dads) what do you do when you need to clean the house and you’ve got a very active baby or young toddler hanging around? Pulling out cleaning supplies is stressful when you’ve got a little guy who loves to grab the dust brush, jump into the tub and wander into your kitchen — even if you have gates and have childproofed everything possible! And don’t forget how toddlers “help” by pulling papers and toys onto the floor! Even if you are the master of childproofing, it’s hard to keep little ones safe when you’ve got to vacuum or mop…
So, what do you do?
We’ve come up with some tips to make it a little easier
1. Plan out what you are going to do first, second…and so forth.
2. Try to get as much done during nap time or after they’re sleeping at night (obviously this isn’t when you vacuum).
3. Have them “help” a little. If they can understand directions, they can help you pick up their own toys. Have large bins/baskets that they can easily put things into (and will help you organize their stuff).
4. In situations where you don’t want them helping, such as mopping or vacuuming, utilize your playard! Make sure there are soft toys inside and the sheet is clean and let him play! This way, your little one is safe, nearby, and you know they’re not getting into cleaning supplies or slipping on a freshly mopped floor.

Greetings from eastern Pennsylvania!
Joovy’s biggest fans, aka, the Joovy Posse (from left: Greyson, Sofia, and Della).
We are big advocates of your Zoom 360 jogging stroller hence we managed to convince each other to get them (instead of other great contenders out there; such as the BOB). Our experience has been very positive and we can’t stop raving about them to our friends who inquire about jogging strollers. By far this is the BEST deal out on the market for a great quality product at an affordable mid-range price. If you ask us mamas what we love about the Joovy, we would say: “We love the price, we love the high bar handle, we love the real bike tires, we love the shocks, hence we love how smooth it rides, we love how it’s easy to pack-up, we love the fun name. ”

My daughter can now ride a real bike without training wheels!!! This is because of the balance bike. She just turned 4. Her cousins are riding at just barely 3 and 3.5 because they got their bikes and started earlier. Boys and girls. AWESOME!
By the way, this picture was taken the first day she got the bike on Thanksgiving 2011. She could ride a real bike after a couple months with the balance bike. Her cousins used their bike more often and so they were riding a real bike after just a few weeks. Seriously amazing. Especially seeing the 3 year old ride. He just turned 3! Thanks!

With a Joovy Scooter, you know that both you and your precious child will get the best because of the simple fact that it is made by a reputable company. This stroller comes with all sorts of wonderful features that parents have grown to love and appreciate.
What’s great is that this carrier is equipped with the latest in stroller technology and this means that you get high-quality performance. It is lightweight and spacious, which will allow your little bundle of joy to comfortably stay in place while you are out and about. If you try to do your bit of homework about this product, you will instantly see why you should also have a Joovy Scooter of your own. To top it off, it is reasonably priced at around $100.
More reasons to love the Joovy Scooter
A lot of parents like this particular carrier because of its style and quality features. It weighs only 18 and a half pounds with comfortable seating that measures 14 by 18 inches. With a Joovy Scooter, your child will always remain safe and comfortable because it comes with parts and accessories such as a sun-shielding canopy.
Another plus point about this stroller is that you can use it for your baby up to the time he becomes a toddler since it has a capacity of 55 pounds. Of course, you will also be delighted with its soft and padded 5-point harness system that is also adjustable and reflective. Remember that this is something you should look for when trying to find the perfect carrier for your child since it will keep him securely fit during each ride.
As you go through various write-ups about the Joovy Scooter, you will also run into comments that dwell on how well its bumper bar swings. You will get utmost convenience because it is easy to detach and even serves as a car seat adapter for brands such as Graco.
As mentioned earlier, your baby will always be comfortable since the leg part of this carrier can be adjusted in two different positions. Your little angel will be able to explore the world in a roomy stroller that is great for outdoor activities and nature adventures. Kids can also sleep soundly because the seat goes halfway back and it has a strap system that can virtually recline to any position up to 149 degrees.
Remember that if you want a stroller that enables you to quickly get from point A to Z with a high level of maneuverability, while allowing your child to ride safely and smoothly, the Joovy Scooter is the best choice.

This is from a note I received last month and I wanted to share….Maybe some of you can relate to this mom whose four year old had a major public meltdown. This little Axel had been a super good boy until he’d had enough of all that. We introduced he and his mom to Joovy and, well, read on…..
“But even a huger thanks for introducing us to the Joovy Foocot–and this is why I’ve wanted to call you–for Axel’s cot. What a surprise hit that was! The minute we got home he unfolded it in the middle of our living room, went and got all his bedding from his bed and tucked himself in and would not leave! He put the cot next to his bed that night and refused to sleep in his own bed. He actually slept two nights in a row on that cot…seriously I don’t know what to say! Now, it’s a daily presence in his room and he says his baby sister is going to sleep on it next to his bed when she gets older. He LOVES that thing—I can’t even remember the last time he was so “hooked” on anything. Isn’t it funny the things they love? I myself thought it was such a great product when you showed it to me, but it still surprised me that my 5-year-old would be THAT excited about it. My husband and I have been joking about it and saying there’s nothing we can get for him for Christmas that’ll top it!”

Joovy Hook As Seen in Up All Night TV Show
The Joovy Hook was featured in this week’s Up All Night with Christina Applegate and Will Arnett.
The Joovy Hook is the only deluxe leatherette fabric hook-on chair on the market. The Hook’s anodized aluminum frame not only looks great, it’s super lightweight and strong. The patented folding mechanism utilizes die-cast aluminum components to support a child up to 37 lbs. The Hook requires no assembly or dis-assembly. Folding and unfolding this portable seat is easy; just two buttons to push and two arms to fold. The durable, comfortable leatherette seat has an adjustable 3-point harness and is 10.5 inches deep to provide more stability and room for the child. Just like the ultra-high-end highchairs on the market today, the Hook’s leatherette fabric is easy to wipe clean and doesn’t sacrifice comfort for cleanliness. The Hook’s arms have non-slip rubber grip pads to protect tables. The Hook includes a 600D zippered travel bag with an adjustable shoulder strap. The Hook is very compact and fits in most diaper bags. The Joovy Hook measures 15.25 x 13 x 5 and weighs 5 lbs.

The right gear makes all the difference in running a 5K!
As parents, sometimes we don’t do enough for ourselves. With childhood obesity rates rising in America, the best thing we can do for ourselves to to set an example for our children. One way is to get off the couch and to run (or walk) a 5K race. You can even get your kids involved — by signing your older kids up for a shorter race or take a younger child along with you in a jogging stroller! If you are taking off, with child in tow, we have some recommendations.
1. Make your your child has good head control (babies should be over 6 months –I’d recommend over 8 months).
2. Be safe — if you are running (or walking on a straight path), lock the front wheel (wheels), make sure your child is snugly harnessed in, and loop the safety strap around one of your wrists.
2. Your child should be wearing sunscreen and sun/wind protective clothing. Make sure the sunshade is down and they keep cool. If its a really hot day, you may have to change your plans and go solo.
3. Make sure you have hydration for you and your child. Pack a small cooler, in an accessible part of the basket or in a parent console, with at least two cups or bottles for your child — you may be able to grab the open cups of water on the trail, but it’s going to be messy for your child.
4. Leave the heavy diaper bag in the car, take a large ziploc with a change of clothes, a couple of diapers, changing pad, wipes, and 1 outfit — in case you have to stop and change a diaper on the way.
5. Make it fun! Sing to your child, talk to him about what you’re seeing, have fun!
For jogging, Joovy’s got two models, the Zoom 360 and the Zoom ATS. The Zoom ATS is a fixed front wheel jogger for serious runners, and the Zoom 360 is a swivel front wheel version for maximum
maneuverability. If you want a rugged stroller that can also be used as a jogger and/or bike trailer, the new Joovy Cocoon is a great option.
